The Great Buddha of Kamakura (in Japanese: 鎌倉の大仏; Rōmaji: Kamakura no Daibutsu) is a 11-meter-tall bronze statue of Amitābha Buddha in Tokyo, Japan. The Buddha is honored by placing flowers and oranges in front of him. In all versions of Mario is Missing!, one such orange is stolen by a Koopa Troopa and must be returned by Luigi. However, to prove the authenticity of the orange, he must first answer two of the following trivia questions:

  • The Buddha is:
    • made of copper
    • a former Sumo
    • 37 feet tall
    • made of wood
  • You can pay extra to visit inside the Buddha's:
    • belly
    • naval orange
    • wooden house
    • bullet train
