Once a Kong hops into this barrel, Crystal Coconuts are the only thing that can keep its move alive. Kong barrels have so far only appeared in Donkey Kong 64. According to the manual, Cranky Kong built them.
- Strong Kong: a Donkey Barrel will allow him to be invincible.
- Rocketbarrel Boost: a Diddy Barrel will allow him to fly for as long as his Crystal Coconuts last.
- OrangStand Sprint: a Lanky Barrel will enable him to run on his hands very fast.
- Mini-Monkey: a Tiny Barrel will allow her to shrink to a tiny size to get into small places or passageways. In combination with her Saxophone Slam, Squawks can carry her to high places.
